Bill Proud has photographed in the southwest for the past 15 years. Using Cortez, Colorado, as a home base, many of the Four Corners' states national parks and monuments are within easy reach. Arches National Park, Canyonlands, Valley of the Gods, and Monument Valley are only a few hours' drive. Capitol Reef, Goblin Valley and the Antelope Canyon slots are only four hours away and Bryce, Zion and Grand Canyon national parks still less than an eight hour drive from home. During the summer, access to Colorado’s San Juan Mountains is just minutes away.
In addition to all this, numerous archaeological ruins are nearby. Montezuma County, Colorado, is home to more than 14,000 known sites, including world-renowned Mesa Verde National Park. Hovenweep National Monument is a short drive from home and Cedar Mesa just west of Blanding, Utah, is filled with spectacular ancient Indian ruins.
Bill is available for photographic instruction and guided tours of his playground. Call for more information (970) 882-4875 or (970) 749-9258 or contact him using the form below.
